Produced in Alijó county, in the highlands of the Douro valley, Moscatel is a fortified wine, elaborated from the Moscatel Galego white grape variety, through the interruption of fermentation by adding wine brandy.
The company´s own production at Quinta do Casal da Granja, which represents the largest Moscatel vineyard in the Douro region, provides the best grapes and Moscatel is then matured for 18 months in oak vats.
Sweet, with a fruity jam flavour and notes of orange and honey, it is recommended to be served cold (15ºC), either as an aperitif or dessert.
