Quinta do Javali Pét-Nat Tinto is a natural sparkling red wine (Pétillant Naturel) from Quinta do Javali in the Douro Valley, Portugal.
Characteristics
This is a low-intervention, biodynamic Pét-Nat made using the ancestral method. It comes from the western plot of the Clos Fonte do Santo vineyard in Ervedosa do Douro. The vines are approximately 20 years old, grown on steep schist soils at 550–700 meters altitude with a northeast exposure. The wine is lively, irreverent, and full of natural energy.

Tasting Notes
Raspberry colour that persists through the release of white foam when the bottle is opened. The nose is irreverent and bold, with natural fermentation aromas of slightly macerated red fruits and mineral notes. On the palate it shows fruity flavours, refreshing acidity that balances the natural residual sugars, and lively pétillance that reappears when the glass is swirled — confirming the wine is still “alive.”
Serving Suggestions
Serve chilled (8–12 °C). Enjoy as an aperitif or with cured meats, light dishes, and informal gatherings. Best drunk young while the bubbles and freshness are at their peak.
